The Englewood Black Chamber of Commerce, Inc. is a trade
organization with a primary objective to help improve the economic
conditions of Black businesses and Black people in the Greater
Englewood/Chicago communities through education, advocacy and
training.
The EBCC is a member of the Illinois State Black Chamber of
Commerce, Inc. and the National Black Chamber of Commerce, Inc.
The Illinois State Black Chamber of Commerce Inc. (ISBCC) is an
advocate for minority business rights and opportunities at the state
level. The ISBCC strives to promote and advance public policy issues
and programs, which will serve to enhance favorable conditions for
Illinois’ Black –owned businesses.
The National Black Chamber of Commerce Inc., (NBCC) a global trade
association headquartered in Washington, D.C., represents over
64,000 Black businesses in the United States.

OBJECTIVE
• To become an active partner in the process for planning the economic
growth in our community by collaboration with public and private
entities to ensure wealth creation through our members.
• To provide African-Americans with necessary entrepreneurial skills
such as finance packaging, recruitment of a qualified labor pool,
managerial expertise, and other resources to compete for opportunities
in the marketplace.
• To actively market African-American businesses within the
African-American community and to encourage mentoring and partnering in
an effort to maximize any and all growth potential.
• To assist members through
education of local, regional, national, and international networks such
as: U.S. Small Business Administration, National Black Chamber of
Commerce, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and National Minority Supplier
Associations.

The Englewood Black Chamber of
Commerce, Inc. shall act as a catalyst/facilitator to provide direction
regarding financing, economic development and management, and provide
opportunities for business owners and professionals to exchange information
and share ideas.
